Higher Consciousness Development

The Dalai Lama was asked what surprised him the most; he said, “Man, because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived.”.

This saddened me deeply. It is a true description of most of our lives. Hard not to get caught up in the race for money, the demands are ever increasing.
‘The simple life” is elusive. We are so programmed to consume, it starts so early in life now – we have to keep the economy working. I remember when you bought something it lasted for a lifetime, now that lifetime is ten years at most. We are so manipulated and controlled. Life can be so sad. Consumerism is the new religion.

True true, but it need not be so. We can take back the life God had planned for us if we just remember who made us and how completely perfect he made us. Also to remember that every time we are swept away by the impulses to buy buy buy spend spend spend, we are only adding to our list of woes and feeding the ever hungry fire!!. We are all in the RAT race to get to where? Cars that drive for us, cars that now have Internet/tv’s in them? Sure maybe sound like the next best thing to have next to the Jones’s but who are the Joneses… just people like you and me… and are they happier than you? Are you going to be happier when you get the next facelift… really? We are selling our very souls to the never never landin the wish for what? We need to go back to the beginning!! I have turned my life around and now i need very litle. Love, respect & human kindness is all we need. God will provide the rest. He will blow your mind once you let him take over. Be blessed.
